Stasia Garraway is a photographer who works internationally, and spends around 6 months of the year (for the last 20 years) on Salt Spring Island. During her island time she is happy to focus her skill and artistry on documenting one of the greatest gestures of love and commitment. Stasia enjoys all the variety of images to be made on wedding day; the poetic moments of preparation, the ceremony, the family
photos, a collection of just the bride and groom, and all the revelry. She particularly enjoys capturing the dance floor in action! She aims to tell the story of each specific wedding day, and capture all the precious moments that make each marriage unique. Her wedding portfolios offer a consistency of high quality, with each image individually edited. Stasia works with her clients to create something they will treasure for a lifetime. Her style focuses on authenticity and naturalness. She is known for her calm demeanor on the wedding day, and loves the connections she makes while helping everyone find comfort and joy in front of the camera. Stasia’s degree in Fine Art from Emily Carr, helps her find all the creative ways of seeing things, and her work in portraiture, fashion photography, and as a still photographer for film helps keep her technique polished and professional.
